Change PIN

To change your Personal Identification Number (PIN), enter your old PIN and your new PIN. Then enter your new PIN in the Verification field. Remember: your PIN must be numeric and 6 digits long.

After initial successful login change the PIN to a self-selected number. Students are strongly encouraged to do so at this point by going to Personal Information and clicking on Change PIN. The first column on the Tracking Information page shows the forms required too process your financial aid.
The second column shows the date that the required form was received.
The third column shows the status of forms required too process your financial aid.
The fourth column shows the items still missing which are the items that have not been received.

Exclusion Worksheet - 1998 Income exclusions worksheet, also known as Student worksheet A or B and Parent worksheet A or B.

Verification of Illinois Residency - Documents issued for verification of state residency include State Drivers License, State Identification Card, Voters Registration Card, and Illinois State Tax Return Form (signed and dated).

Marriage License - Official copy of Marriage License.

Master Promissory Note - Promissory note submitted for Unsubsidized and Subsidized Stafford loans.

Federal Plus Loan Application - Loan application submitted for Federal Parent Loan (PLUS loan).

Parent Tax Return - Signed and dated copy of federal income tax documents.

Parent Worksheet A or B - 1998 Income exclusions worksheet.

Scholarship Application - Application received for scholarship awarded from an outside agency.

Tuition Remission - Tuition benefits received for eligible employees, employee's spouses and dependant children of employees.

Withdrawal forms - Official documentation of withdrawal from the University.

Appeal Form - Documentation submitted for consideration for additional financial aid.

Birth Certificate - Copy of official birth certificate.

Verification of Citizenship - Documents submitted to verify citizenship include naturalization form, us passport, alien card and permanent residence cards.

Consortium Agreement - Agreement between universities concerning financial aid.

Proof of non-default - Statement from previous lending institutions that student's loans are in good standing.

Loan Entrance Interview - Entrance form to be completed by student before funds are applied to the students account.

Loan Exit Interview - Exit interview form to be completed by student when leaving the university.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid - The FAFSA application

Pell SAR - FAFSA information received from the government.

Private Loan Application - Loan application received from a private institution; not affiliated with the University or the government.

Award Letter Response - Response to award letter either accepting or rejecting items offered in the students financial aid package.

SAR - Paper issue of the students FASFA application.

Verification of Selective Service Card or letter verifying the students selective service status.

Social Security Card - Signed copy of student's social security card.

Student Tax Return - Signed copy of student's 1998 Federal income tax documents.

Help Academic Progress

The status of your Academic Progress is based on your academic performance for each term that you are enrolled. Your progress towards the completion of your program of study is also a factor. Poor academic performance can affect eligibility for federal, state and institutional assistance.
*Academic Progress is reviewed annually during the month of May for the following year.

Help Award Information

The Award column lists the financial aid, financial assistance and scholarships that a student is receiving.
The Offered Amount column shows the amount of financial aid offered by each award.
The Accepted Amount column shows the amount of financial aid accepted by each award.
The Paid Amount Column shows the amount of financial aid paid to the students account from each award.

The following information is a list of possible types of financial aid, financial assistance and scholarships.

Employee Tuition Waiver - Eligible employees, spouses of employees and dependants of employees are eligible to receive tuition benefits up to 100% of the total cost of tuition.

Estimated Pell Grant - Awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. Pell Grants are awarded based on demonstrated financial need as defined by the U.S. Department of Education.

Monetary Award Program (MAP Grant) - A need-based state grant program. Awarded only to undergraduate Illinois Residents who demonstrate financial need and who attend an Illinois college or university.

Plus Loan - A government-backed educational loan in which the parent is responsible for repayment.

Institutional Loans - Loans awarded to the student by the college or university.

Subsidized Stafford Loan - A government-backed educational loan in which the government pays for the interest as long as the student is enrolled in school at least half-time.

Unsubsidized Stafford Loan - A government-backed educational loan in which the student is responsible for all interest that accrues on the loan. The student may either pay the interest while in school or have it accrue and capitalize.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) - This is awarded only to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need as determined by the Department of Education.

Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship - Available to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and who show promise of continued academic success.

Camras Full tuition & room and board - This scholarship is initially awarded to freshmen majoring in engineering or computer science who demonstrate academic merit.
In order to renew this scholarship, the student must maintain a 3.25 GPA, maintain full-time status each term, remain an engineering or computer science major, and have satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin. Room and board is awarded for IIT campus housing only.

Applied Science full tuition - This scholarship is initially awarded to applied science majors who demonstrate academic merit. In order to renew this scholarship, the student must maintain a 3.25 GPA, maintain full-time status each term, remain an applied science major and have satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

Applied Sciences ¾ tuition - This scholarship is initially awarded to applied science majors who demonstrate academic merit. In order to renew this scholarship, the student must maintain a 3.25 GPA, maintain full-time status each term, remain an applied science major and have satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin

Gunsaulus/purnell up to full tuition - This scholarship is initially awarded to minority freshmen in any major except architecture who demonstrate academic merit. In order to renew this scholarship, the student must maintain a 3.25 GPA, maintain full-time status each term and have satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

GM/WISE. - This tuition scholarship is initially awarded to freshman female students majoring in engineering or science. In order to renew this scholarship, the student must maintain a 3.0 GPA, maintain full-time status each term, and have satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

Transfer scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to transfer students in any major except architecture who demonstrate academic merit. To be considered, the student must have a GPA in the range from 3.0 to 4.0 from his or her former institution. The student must maintain a 2.5 GPA, maintain full-time status each term and have satisfactory academic progress as defined in the Undergraduate Bulletin.

Athletic scholarship - The athletic department awards this scholarship.

ROTC - The various military branches award this scholarship.

Federal Work Study (FWS) - Awarded by the government for students to earn through employment during the academic year.
